I've been giving a certain story I've been hearing about Paul's behavior
the other day outside his NYC MPL offices quite a lot of thought. I was at
the poetry reading and many people around me stated that security was very
tight. I feel Paul is right to be so security conscious. It made me feel good
to see so many bodyguards on duty. This world can be a very sick place
sometimes. Then I heard about Paul going off on a group of fans out side MPL.
Um, possibly he had a reason? I don't know what goes on in his personal life.
Could there be a possibility that Paul received valid death threats? I mean,
John was taken from us. A darraigned nutcase tried to take our George. Paul
has to be very careful. I know many of us would never harm him. I love him
and what he stands for. But it takes one well aimed bullet and our Knight is
gone forever. I don't want to condemn him for a hissyfit. The man is upset
about something. Read between the lines. I can only imagine how the fans who
were yelled at must have felt. But consider Paul too. I wouldn't be
disillusioned, I'd think twice before going up to him in a store or in a
restaurant anyway. That, to me, would be invading his personal space.

I really like your willingness to beinded here.  I know that sometimes
if I have to do something difficult in general, which for me might be say...
taking a music theory test... I just snap at people that I shouldn't snap at.
Same thing happens if I'm nervous or edgy about something, like singing a
solo.  Maybe Paul felt that way- it's really the first time he's shared his
personal poems publically and he's getting used to it.  Although it seems as
if poems and songs are the same thing, of course they are not.   When reading
a poem, one's voice feels really naked sometimes.  It's really different than
singing a song, where the music can cover over or carry over a meaning or
lyric.  No Other Baby, for example, would be really different as a poem.  It
would make me cry.  As a song, it's catchy and doesn't really make me sad.
Paul's experiencing a new stage of life and a lot of new ideas.  Like
everyone else, I'm sure he does snap at people a few times, and that he is
human.
