The
Epiphone Dot:
Guitar
of Champions
As an owner of several guitars, the Dot is not only my most recent
purchase, but also my favorite. In my second serious year of guitar study,
this is my first electric. I write folk, and I play rock and blues, so
I wanted
something that could accommodate this diversity. The Dot does.
The semi-hollow body makes it easier to hold than many of its
competitors; however, the body is still a little large for a person of
small
stature, such as myself.
This guitar is my dream. It is now at the best value I have ever seen.
I
was lucky enough to grab a remaining blue one, but I'm sure the cherry
sounds just as beautiful!
Epiphone carefully packaged my guitar and it arrived in perfect condition.
All warranty information was neatly packaged with it.
I use this guitar for songwriting, gigs, and in the recording of my new
album. This guitar is professional yet still suitable for many environments.
While the sound doesn't equal its more expensive cousin (the Sheraton),
I
prefer it to the sound of the Casino.
As a college student, I put a lot of thought into purchasing anything that
costs more than a tank of gas- and this has been the best investment I
could have purchased.
The guitar stays in tune, and looks impressive and professional.
